Say we believe in something beyond,
But panic the moment the silence gets close.
Gold crosses shining on our chest,
Fear hiding under every breath.
We ask for paradise every night,
But keep one foot outside the door.
If love is eternal, why are we scared of the dark?
If souls are forever, why do we cling to the spark?
Everybody wants heaven, nobody wants goodbye.
